2011-11-28
This weekend saw the 6th and final meet of the SurreyPinball.co.uk League [2011] play out in suspense invoking style with Martin Ayub and Stan Simpson tied for number one spot after 6 well contested tables. A single table playoff was the order of the day and AFM was drawn at random to be the deciding battleground. Both players provided a worthy contest, matching each other blow-for-blow on their way to chalking up a pair of 16 billion+ scores. However it was Martin Ayub’s 16 Billion+ score that saw him take the victory by the narrowest of margins and add a 4th League win to his record. A big congratulations to Martin Ayub (1st), Stan Simpson (2nd) and Matthew Vince (3rd). Big congratulation also to Sarah Jarrett who finished as top female for the 5th time and Matt Wells who finished in top U16 spot for the 3rd time.

This weekend’s meet drew the SurreyPinball.co.uk League [2011] to a close and with all the scores in, here’s where the glassware ended up:

Martin Ayub returns to his winning ways at the 4th Meet of the season, securing another 1st place finish with top scores on 5 out of 6 machines. Well done to Stan Simpson (2nd) and Mike Kindler (3rd). Well done also to Ann Richards who was this meet’s top placed female and Matt Wells who was the top U16. Congratulations to Stan Simpson who has managed to wobble Martin Ayub's perch with a sterling performance to win league meet 3, posting some impressive billion+ scores on Flintstones and No Fear along the way. Well done also to Martin Ayub (2nd) and Tom Hare (3rd). No such "perch wobbling" going on in the Female and U16s Leagues with Sarah Jarrett and Matthew Whitfield both making it 3 out of 3 in their respective leagues. Congratulations once again go to Martin Ayub who made it 2 out of 2 on Sunday after posting some impressive scores on High Speed II, Judge Dredd and The Flintstones. Well done to Matthew Vince (2nd) and James Watson (3rd). Also proving their first victories were no fluke and making it 2 out of 2, congratulations go to Sarah Jarrett in the Female standings and Matthew Whitfield in the U16s. Once again a big thanks to all those who attended and hopefully we'll see you all back at the next one.
